We happily followed the invitation from Prof. Dr. Christian Schindler and participated at this year's International Railway Symposium Aachen (IRSA). The digitalization of vehicles for better maintenance was presented in several lectures. At our booth we were able to show many visitors the way forward to ideal rail operations: by pursuing the goals of improvement, simplification and cost reduction based on the “health status” of the vehicles as well as by developing algorithms for data evaluation based on damage and wear mechanisms for CBM and PDM.
