At the end of 2022, LogoMotive once again asked all customers and friends of the company a riddle, this time from the history of railways:
“Which railway line set the standard for the 1435 mm gauge (referred to as standard gauge)?”
As in the previous year, we were pleased to have even more participants. Thank you very much to everyone who sent us their solution.
This time the puzzle was trickier. Two answers were possible: “Stockton - Darlington” or “Manchester - Liverpool”. Both routes are mentioned in the literature, which is why we accepted both answers.
From the numerous correct entries, the lot fell on Stephan Zeipel. Mr. Zeipel is an expert in vehicle dynamics and mechatronics at Alstom in Salzgitter. Our picture shows him receiving the prize, the “Golden Moments”.
