The rail³ GmbH with locations in the cities of Salzgitter and Nuremberg on the 10th of March 2020 was approved by the German homologation authority Eisenbahn-Bundesamt as the first private “Notified Body” in Germany.
The approval covers the TSI conformity evaluations in line with the guideline (EU) 2016/797. In combination with the above the Eisenbahn-Bundesamt has approved rail³ as a “Designated Body” for the evaluation of the National Notified Technical Rules (NNTR). rail³ now covers as a conformity assessment body the areas of activity: rail vehicles, train control, train protection and signalling. Based on the above rail³ offers its customers a full service which is covering the european and national certifications and assessments in the field of railway technology.
